The JOHN REED Fitness brand is part of the RSG Group. Our fitness community additionally experience the special JOHN REED feeling at special events and through live DJ sets on site.

Currently there are JOHN REED clubs in 8 countries with a total of 32 clubs, including Berlin, Istanbul, Zurich and Los Angeles. For our market entry in the UK and the opening of our JOHN REED Club in London we are looking for a Community Manager (f/m/d).


  • You are responsible for the customer experience of our members. You act as the face of our JOHN REED brand. You represent the club to the outside world. You are part of the local Fitness and Creative scene, going to events, parties, launch events, etc. to make contacts and build a network. This way you can create brand awareness and establish JOHN REED on location, as well as build your role and gain new contacts that can become members of the club. 
  • You will handle communications, retention and member inquiries, as well as personal contact with members and their guests. 
  • In order to create the unique JOHN REED feeling and to promote the activity of our members, you conceptualize and implement events and special activities for them as a host.
  • You create a positive and coherent environment to implement the overall brand vision.
  • You are responsible for the daily monitoring of all aspects of the member experience, including member events, member communications and operational issues. 
  • You will solicit and provide feedback on club development, service levels, and facility and develop appropriate actions to ensure consistent high quality for members.
  • You will work closely with the Club Manager, the Sales Officer and the marketing staff of the UK team. You report to the Country Manager on the one hand. As part of the international John Reed Membership team, you will also report to the Marketing Director at our headquarters in Berlin.


  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience as a community, portfolio or public relations manager in the Fitness and/ or Creative industry. 
  • You have excellent knowledge of the Creative and/ or Fitness industry and are well known and well connected in the scene.
  • Your communication skills are strikingly good and you have an infectious personality. You are energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive.
  • You have a confident and positive approach even with our VIP members and always hit the right note.
  • You are flexible with your time and enjoy working outside of traditional "office hours" on evenings or weekends as needed. 
  • You have already gained experience in planning, organizing and implementing events.
  • You are characterized by high standards, a great attention to detail and a positive "can-do" attitude. 
  • You are self-motivated with a desire to exceed your goals and help build our new location in London.


  • Membership: you will of course be able to train at our JOHN REED clubs worldwide. You will also have exclusive access to our two training apps Cyberobics and LOOX. 
  • Events: You can expect dynamic and exciting team outings and company events. 
  • Location: you will be based in our office in Shoreditch.                                  
  • Development: we offer internal workshops to help you develop and gain new soft skill experience. 
  • Smooth communication: flat hierarchies and communication at eye level are particularly important to us.
